Instrument

Picosecond (ps) laser system with good spectral resolution and very wide detection wavelength coverage (VIS Ð IR spectral range). The laser system consists of a mode-locked ps-Nd:YAG pump laser with harmonic frequency conversion unit (EKSPLA, PL2241A) and an optical parametric generator/amplifier (OPG/OPA) with difference-frequency generation (DFG) option (EKSPLA, PG401/DFG2-10P).

Technical Data/Features

  • Spectral resolution: bandwidth < 6 cm1
  • Wavelength range: 400Ênm Ð 10000Ênm
  • Pulse length < 40Êps, repetition frequency: 10 Hz

Applications

  • Currently used as pump laser system for a sum-frequency generation (SFG) spectrometer
  • Versatile broadband light source
  • Time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy
