The new consumer campaign is meant to support European fisheries policy and foster the sustainable consumption of fish. For this purpose, the Future Ocean fisheries experts Rüdiger Voss and Julia Hoffmann presented the interactive fisheries game “ecoocean”. The game picks up on the theme of sustainable use of the ecosystem ‘ocean’. In the game, sustainable management of fish stocks is conveyed in a playful manner. The game clarifies how important it is that all people involved in fisheries cooperate in order to manage the fishery industry in a sustainable way.
