Delegation from the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology visit Kiel University

Kiel University continues to strengthen its relations to the Far East. Following a first visit by the Korean minister for reunification, researchers from Kiel traveled to Korea to get to know their Korean colleagues last year. On Monday the 6th of May a return visit was made by members of the International Affairs Section of the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST).

 

The program included short visits to GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and to the Zoological Museum with a presentation of Kiel University’s research focus “Kiel Marine Sciences” and the Cluster of Excellence “The Future Ocean”. Professor Thomas Bosch welcomed the Korean delegation to the Centre for Molecular Biosciences (ZMB) and presented the university with all its priority research areas to the interested guest from the Far East.
