"Maritime growth markets - chances of success for Schleswig-Holstein"



In the current European report, the OECD report "The Ocean Economy in 2030", the maritime industry is forecasting long-term growth.

But how can Schleswig-Holstein benefit from it? How can the Schleswig-Holstein expertise in the maritime industry and marine and coastal research be pooled even more effectively? Which course can be taken in the medium term to successfully position itself in global competition?

 

In various workshops the topics "Ships, Harbors, Environmental Systems of the Future", "Food from the Sea", "Marine Technology" or "Maritime Spin-offs", were discussed and implementation options were developed together on 19 December 2018. The aim of the event was to identify recommendations for action.

At the event Dr. Bernd Buchholz, Minister of Economy, Transport, Labor, Technology and Tourism Schleswig-Holstein participated actively.
